The Great Allentown Fair

 By Nate Feldman

The Great Allentown Fair, which has been in existence since 1852, takes place in Allentown, Pennsylvania annually over Labor Day weekend.  There are many fun things to do at this event.

You can see a variety of animals from people's farms, such as cows, goats, lambs, and pigs.  There is also an area with many types of rabbits.

There are prizes for the best crops grown throughout the area.  There are also food competitions for best pastries.

There are countless food stalls throughout the fairgrounds with cusines of all types, ranging from traditional American fare to food from Puerto Rico and Mexico.

There are music performances from some of the world's most famous bands and artists.

Finally, there are fun rides people can go on, such as the ferris wheel and a flying swingset.

The Allentown Fair has provided great fun for people in Pennsylvania and other places for many years and will continue to do so into the future.
